We love fun!

The goal of Stone Ridge Summer CampUs is for boys and girls to expand their horizons and discover a new interest while having fun. Guided by our experienced and caring staff, campers enjoy athletic, artistic, and educational experiences while creating new friendships and wonderful memories.

2024 DATES

Week 1: June 17 - 21 (no camp June 19)
Week 2: June 24 - 28
Week 3: July 1 - 3 (no camp July 4 - 5)
Week 4: July 8 - 12
Week 5: July 15 - 19
Week 6: July 22 - 26

HOURS

On-campus program Drop off: 8:30 - 9:00 am
On-campus program Pick up: 3:00 - 3:30 pm

On-campus programs: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Grades Pre-K-Grade 1 have the option of attending mornings only (dismissal 12:45-1:00 pm)

Off-campus programs: 8:30 am - 3:45 pm* (*8:00am departure/4:30pm late arrival on Thursdays for longer trips)

Pre-Care (ages 5+): 7:30 - 9:00 am (extra fees apply)
Aftercare (ages 5+): 3:00 - 5:30 pm (extra fees apply)

Note: Off-campus programs may depart early/arrive later depending on activity

About the Director

Ellen Saltzman is the Director of Stone Ridge Summer CampUs. She started with Stone Ridge Summer CampUs in 2010; first as the Mad Scientists teacher, then becoming the Assistant Director in 2018. Ellen became the Director in January 2023. 

Ellen studied at University of Maryland, College Park where she earned her BS in Elementary Education. Ellen then studied at Loyola University Maryland where she earned a Master of Education in Science Curriculum and Instruction.

Stone Ridge Summer CampUs is a family affair for Ellen. Her daughters, Emma and Cecilia, both work as camp counselors and her husband, Phil, assists with set-up and materials.

When she is not working, Ellen enjoys spending time with her family (which includes her pet bunny, Cody), traveling, and grilling.

 

Summer CampUs is certified by both Montgomery County and the State of Maryland.
